Les Deux Alpes

We are pleased to introduce into our programme one of France’s oldest resorts. With at top ski height of 3600 metres and boasting the largest skiable Glacier in Europe, together with the longest vertical normally open descent in the world, Les Deux Alpes will be a welcome addition to our exciting collection of winter resorts.

SKIING
Offering over 90 runs the resort of Les Deux Alpes has some 220km of pistes served by 50 lifts with a variety of challengers to suit all levels of skier. In comparison with many resorts Les Deux Alpes is quite unique due to the fact that many of the easiest runs are at the top of the mountain and some of the toughest runs descend back down to the resort. Beginners and intermediates are well catered for with very wide, cruisey green and blue runs, especially at the top of the resort, where skiers can enjoy the superb views over the nearby mountains. For better skiers there is a superb area of off piste available as well as some excellent terrain on the lower half of the mountain descending to the resort. In addition there are some incredible freeride challenges from the edge of the glacier at high altitude. Snow-boarders are also well looked after on these high altitude wide runs as well as the superb terrain park reputed to be the best in the Alps. Here you will find an assortment of rails, kickers and boxes together with a half pipe and super pipe.
Equipment is taken (and stored) at a nearby ski shop and lessons have been arranged with one of the local, official English speaking ski schools also close to our hotel.
