ISOLACCHIA, ITALY

Situated in the Valtellina Province of Norther Italy, this compact ski area is an excellent addition to our ski programme. Situated only 6 miles from the larger resort of Bormio and 15 miles from its high level sister resort Santa Caterina. Groups will be able to ski all three resorts which are all covered on their lift pass and the local ski area of Isolacchia is opposite our hotel.

SKIING

The lovely little ski area of Cima Piazzi/San Colombano- Isolacchia Oga is served by 9 ski lifts including the high speed 8 seater gondola starting opposite our accommodation and a further series of chairlifts and drag lifts.. The skiing itself runs from 1340m to 2547m.

The area is more suitable for beginners and intermediate skiers and includes a very accommodating nursery area above the tree line near the top of the mountain. Most of the skiing is through sheltered tree lined slopes with the added feature of the resort being extremely quiet even during peak season. Both the ski hire shop and the local Italian ski school are but a short walk away.
